​​Celebrating Success

​Every year we host the Celebrating Success Awards which is our opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements made by our staff and others to make our communities safer places to live, work and visit. 

We have a range of award categories designed to recognise the extraordinary contributions made by not only Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service staff, but also members of the community, young people and organisations that assist the Service.​​

The Celebrating Success 2014 Awards will take place on Thursday 20 November 2014 at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea

Ten special awards have been designed to recognise the extraordinary contributions made by not only the dedicated people within the Service but also the members of the community who continue to assist us in safeguarding our communities.

Nominations are now open for the following award categories:

  • Individual Achievement Award – An outstanding individual achievement or an individual who has consistently performed above expectations throughout the year.

  • Team Achievement Award – An outstanding team achievement or a team that has consistently performed above expectations throughout the year.

  • Station of the Year Award – A station that has performed above expectations or made a significant contribution to the local community.

  • Community Achievement Award – A successful initiative or event that has brought benefits to the Service or public through excellent internal or external partnership working.

  • Award for Innovation – An individual or team that has developed an initiative that has made a significant contribution to service delivery and performance.

  • Personal Development Award – An outstanding individual academic achievement, or an individual who has consistently performed above expectations academically or vocationally throughout the year.

  • Young Person’s Achievement Award – A young person who has demonstrated outstanding performance or courage over the year.

  • The Fire Fighters Charity Award – An individual or team that has made an exceptional contribution to The Fire Fighters Charity.

  • Chief Fire Officer’s Exceptional Achievement Award – An individual or team that has demonstrated exceptional achievement or courage in achieving Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s aims and objectives.

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – An exceptional individual who has contributed over 30 years of service and shown outstanding dedication to the Service.

The Celebrating Success event will also recognise the commitment of both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel who have dedicated the last 20 years of their working careers to Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service by presentation of the Queen’s Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

The event is fully sponsored and we are extremely grateful for the incredible generosity of the many organisations who continue to support the Service and our work within the communities of mid and west Wales.
