​Finance

The Finance Department looks after all of the Services’ finances and is split into three sections; Payroll, Exchequer Services and Accountancy.

Payroll deals with all matters relating to salaries and expenses for Councillors and staff, as well as direct taxation issues. The Exchequer Services team pays invoices from our suppliers, sends invoices to our clients and deals with indirect taxation. Accountancy prepare and monitor budgets, prepare statutory accounts and gives advice to non financial staff. The Accountancy team also deal with leasing, banking arrangements, investments and borrowing as well as preparing financial returns and liaising with auditors.
