St David’s Fire Station is crewed by On Call Firefighters who respond to the station when required. St David’s is the smallest city in Wales and is situated on a peninsula to the west of Pembrokeshire with a population of 4007.
The communities of Solva, Croesgoch and Trefin are also served by the crew from St David’s Fire Station. The population of St David’s almost doubles in the summer season due to the number of visiting tourists, it is an ideal location for exploring the western fringes of the county.
The main risk for the community is the hotels & guest houses that cater for the tourists visiting the area. The greatest single High Risk is St Davids Cathedral dating from 1181. This provides a unique risk due to its great religious and historical significance.
