Notable premises include a Calor Gas depot in Three Cocks, a school and Bronllys castle. The town also has other risks which include the River Wye where crews have been called to numerous incidents.
Priority for 2014-2015
• Reduction in Road traffic collisions & secondary fires (grassland & outdoor structures).
Although the station has experienced a slight increase in road traffic collision call activity we must remain vigilant in our proactive approach to continually reduce these incidents. We will therefore continue to work in partnership and manage issues that are beyond the scope of any one agency. The command will strengthen links with Powys Road safety, Community Safety Partnership, Dyfed Powys Police, Go Safe and the Motor cycle action group, targeting vulnerable road users (16 - 24 Year olds, motorcyclists and those aged over 70) in line with Welsh Government road safety delivery plans. Additional road safety advice and guidance is available via www.mawwfire.gov.uk
The station has experienced an increase in Secondary Fires and will work with the command’s Community fire safety team and partners to identify areas & residents that would benefit from advice, guidance and visits from our community safety team & /or partners. We will continue to roll out our farm fire safety initiative. Additional fire safety advice and guidance is available via www.mawwfire.gov.uk
