Swansea Central Fire Station

The Station provides emergency cover and support to the City of Swansea and its surrounding communities. The station is provided with an extensive range of emergency equipment which includes a Landover and Rescue Boat manned by specially trained Swift Water Rescue Technicians and a new Rescue Pump equipped with the latest fire and rescue service equipment which gives firefighters greater and more immediate capability in dealing with a wide range of incidents. From 2014 the station will share its facilities with the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust where one ambulance and crew is located.

Priorities for 2014-2015

• Reduction in Dwelling Fires

The station has experienced an increase in dwelling fires in 2013/14 and in conjunction with key partners and the command community safety team identify and prioritise those deemed to be at greatest risk from fire in the local community areas.

Your local firefighters are able to visit your house to provide free home fire safety advice and will supply and install free smoke alarms to keep you and your family safe.
