WATCH MANAGER A - DIRECT TRAINER VACANCIES

Please be advised that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service currently has Watch Manager A – Direct Trainer vacancies within the Training Delivery Department, and is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who may wish to transfer into the Service.

The Training Delivery Department operate from three locations in Earlswood, Haverfordwest and Newtown.

Successful applicants will be involved in planning, coordinating and delivering both On Call and BA Initial courses to meet the needs of this challenging phase of recruitment. 

Interested individuals should hold at least one of the following

Breathing Apparatus Trainers qualification
Road Traffic Collision Trainers Qualification 
A Fire Behaviour Trainers Qualification 
A First Aid/Trauma Care Trainers qualification would also be desirable

TEMPORARY ACCOUNTANT
FINANCE DEPARTMENT

There is currently a temporary vacancy to cover maternity leave in the role of Accountant based within the Finance Department at Service Headquarters. The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) for an initial period of 6 months.

The primary focus of the role will be to provide technical accountancy support to the Accountancy Services Manager and Head of Finance together with administrative support to the Accountancy Section, Exchequer Services section.

ICT TECHNICIAN, ICT DEPARTMENT

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a post of an ICT Technician to be based within the ICT Department at Service HQ, Carmarthen.  

This post is 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

The successful applicant will be a member of a small team that is responsible for providing PC hardware, radio equipment and software support throughout the Mid & West Wales fire service area.  The work typically involves installing and maintaining PC's, printers and other peripherals as well as the configuration of all associated software.  

Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSE's grade C or equivalent (including English and Mathematics) are required in addition to a demonstrable aptitude or previous experience in this type of work.
