REQUEST TO RETURN TO EMPLOYMENT (ON-CALL ONLY) 

The option of “returning to employment” can be offered when an employee has voluntarily terminated their On Call Contract with MAWWFRS and requests a return to employment within four years of their last recorded day of duty.

This facility is only available to employees looking to return to the role of a firefighter. Although personnel who had previously held the role of a Crew or Watch Manager are eligible to apply, their return can only be to the role of a firefighter.

Wholetime Operational


The SIFT​ stage for the Recruitment Process for Wholetime Firefighters is now closed.

If you are a candidate within the process:-

If you have registered for this process and completed both Online tests, results will be sent by e-mail after 14:00 hrs on Tuesday, 24 September 2019.  Results will not be given via telephone. If you have not received your results by 12:00 hrs on Wednesday, 25 September 2019, please contact us using the following e-mail address:- recruitment@mawwfire.gov.uk

If you have been successful, you will advance through the Recruitment Process.

If you are interested in becoming a Wholetime Duty System Firefighter and have not already registered, you are unable to do so at this time and will need to wait until future processes to apply.

Due to the numbers involved within the process, it may not be possible to accommodate you at an alternative time.

​​Service Control V​acancies

Support Staff Vacancies

FLEET TECHNICIAN
TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT
EARLSWOOD
GRADE 5 - £21,589 - £23,836

Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel for the post of Fleet Technician, based at Earlswood, Jersey Marine, Briton Ferry. The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday).

The role will involve carrying out routine maintenance, along with mechanical, electrical and bodywork repairs of both HGV and light vehicles, plant and equipment to an agreed standard.

Candidates should possess an LGV Licence.
