​Wholetime Firefighter Vacancies

The Service works in collaboration with the North Wales Fire & Rescue Service and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service in terms of an All - Wales Recruitment Campaign​ when ​Wholetime Firefighter vacancies arise.
 

These recruitment campaigns usually take place every 2-3 years and advertising and publicity campaigns take place in the lead up to the recruitment of Firefighters.

OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT

(RESILIENCE & PLANNING TEAM) 

RESILIENCE & PLANNING OFFICER

GRADE 9 (FULL TIME, PERMANENT)

 

SALARY: £24,892 - £26,539 per annum

 

The above vacancy has arisen within the Operational Risk Management Department, Resilience and Planning Team based at Fire Service Headquarters (FSHQ). 

 

The post holder will further develop ‘Business Continuity’ with the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service.  This will be achieved through the co-ordination of Business Continuity Management exercise programme and the supervision of the Service’s Operational Resilience.

 

In addition, the successful candidate will provide guidance and support in all aspects of Emergency Planning, as well as being able to deputise and represent SWFRS at relevant meetings, reporting developments to key members of the Department.

 

Applicants must have experience of working within an Emergency Planning environment.

 

This post requires Security Vetting to Security Check (SC) level – this will be undertaken on appointment.

 

This role involves frequent travel between sites throughout the South Wales area and further afield, as required.  The successful candidate must be able to travel independently.

 

This post is full time, 37 hours per week with a flexible working scheme in operation.
