Please be advised that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service currently has Watch Manager B vacancies within the Business Fire Safety Department, and is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who may wish to transfer into the Service.
The Business Fire Safety Department deliver its audit and enforcement activities from five regional offices located in Newtown, Llandrindod Wells, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest and Swansea.
Interested individuals should hold the SFJ Level 4 Certificate or Diploma in Fire Safety or other equivalent qualification.

WATCH MANAGER A - DIRECT TRAINER VACANCIES
Please be advised that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service currently has Watch Manager A – Direct Trainer vacancies within the Training Delivery Department, and is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who may wish to transfer into the Service.
The Training Delivery Department operate from three locations in Earlswood, Haverfordwest and Newtown.
Successful applicants will be involved in planning, coordinating and delivering both On Call and BA Initial courses to meet the needs of this challenging phase of recruitment.
Interested individuals should hold at least one of the following
• Breathing Apparatus Trainers qualification
• Road Traffic Collision Trainers Qualification
• A Fire Behaviour Trainers Qualification
• A First Aid/Trauma Care Trainers qualification would also be desirable

Wholetime Firefighter Recruitment – What Next?
The All Wales 2015 Wholetime Firefighter Recruitment Campaign is currently underway. Over 5900 candidates were part of the initial Sift process. Successful candidates within the SIFT have now been invited to undertake Working With Information Tests.

I want to be a Wholetime Firefighter and I did not register for the All Wales 2015 Campaign – when can I apply next?
Recruitment Campaigns are scheduled according to business needs within the Fire & Rescue Services. It is highly unlikely that the next campaign will be run before 2017/18.
I applied to the Sift as part of the recent campaign and I was unsuccessful – can I get Feedback?
An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address that you registered with us advising you of how you can access individual Feedback Reports. These reports will be available in the next fortnight to three weeks. Please do not contact us regarding feedback – we will keep you informed of how and when you can access the Feedback Reports.
I have sat the Dealing with Information Tests, when will I get my results?
Results to the Dealing with Information Tests will be sent by no later than Wednesday 28 October 2015. Please do not contact us regarding your results – results will not be available via phone.
When are the Physical and Practical Assessments?
The Physical Assessments for candidates who are being processed by Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service are being held between Monday the 9th of November and Friday the 13th of November. If you are undertaking the Assessments in North Wales or South Wales Fire & Rescue Services, please refer to their websites for further details.

What if I can’t make the Physical and Practical Assessment dates?
Physical Assessments will only be held in Mid and West Wales Fire & Rescue Service between Monday the 9th of November and Friday the 13th of November 2015. Due to the number of candidates within the process, it is highly unlikely that changes can be made to any assessment dates. Where exceptional circumstances exist, efforts will be made to make alterations if/where possible.
