Wholetime Vacancies

Mid & West Fire and Rescue Service are seeking to recruit Wholetime Firefighters.

We are looking for community focussed and disciplined individuals who are committed to making Wales a safer place.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate that you share our Core Values and are prepared to commit to the level of training and fitness required to meet the challenging demands of the role.

Although Firefighters are trained to deal with a variety of rescue and firefighting incidents, it’s also important that they are equipped to work within our communities to reduce risk, visiting homes, schools and community groups providing safety information.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT 
GRADE 4 - £18,870 - £20,541

There is currently a vacancy within the Operational Risk Management Department as the role of Operational Support Technician. The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) and it involves working out within Command areas.

The successful individual will inspect, service and maintain the Service’s fire hydrants efficiently and safely as directed by the Water Officer.

TEMPORARY PART TIME CAFÉ ASSISTANT x 2
ABERYSTWYTH FIRE STATION CAFÉ 
GRADE 2 - £15,613 - £16,491 (pro rata)

There are currently two temporary vacancies at Aberystwyth Fire Station Café as the role of Part Time Café Assistant. The posts are 18.5 hours per week (Monday-Sunday) and are for a temporary period of 12 months initially. 

The successful individuals will assist the Café Manager in serving customers and daily jobs, to include basic food and drinks preparation.
