Wholetime V​acancies​​​​​

Registration for the Recruitment Process for Wholetime Firefighters is now closed.

If you have entered the process via our Online Registration and have met the basic Eligibility Criteria, you will receive e-mails inviting you to complete two On-Line Assessments.  You will receive this e-mail from midday Friday the 25 May 2018.

Details of the assessments can be found in the Information Pack​ for this process. Your invitation to complete these assessments will also contain detailed instructions, highlighting what is involved.  The deadline for the completion of both of these assessments is 12:00 on Thursday, 31 May 2018.

If you have not met the basic eligibility criteria, you will receive an e-mail informing you of why this is the case from midday Friday the 25 May 2018.

Candidates are advised to check their e-mail accounts for these e-mails.

Please note:-

  • Results will only be available via e-mail.  Results will not be given over the telephone.  These results will be sent by Tuesday, 5th June 2018.

  • If you have an enquiry, you must direct it to recruitment@mawwfire.gov.uk.  Information will not be available by any other means.

CREW MANAGER TRANSFERS

MID AND WEST WALES FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE

 

 

Please be advised that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals who may wish to transfer into the Service within the role of Crew Manager.

 

The Service is asking individuals to apply as follows:-

 

  • Current Wholetime Operational Crew Managers who wish to transfer.

TEMPORARY CAFÉ SUPERVISOR
ABERYSTWYTH FIRE STATION
CEREDIGION COUNTY COMMAND
GRADE 4 - £18,870 - £20,541

Applications are invited from suitably experienced personnel for the temporary post of Café Supervisor within Ceredigion County Command Headquarters based at Aberystwyth Fire Station Café. The post is 37 hours per week (Monday - Sunday) and is for a temporary period until 07 September 2018 initially.

The successful individual will assist the Café Manager in serving customers and daily jobs, to include basic food and drinks preparation. In addition, the role will include providing supervisory and managerial oversight of the café when the Café Manager is absent.

TEMPORARY RESPONSE CO-ORDINATOR
SERVICE HEADQUARTERS, CARMARTHEN

A temporary vacancy exists for a suitably qualified candidate to provide comprehensive administrative support within the role of Response Co-ordinator, based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen.

The successful applicant will assist with the co-ordination and be responsible for the administration of Service Response Headquarters activities to ensure the effective and efficient running of the Department.

The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) and will be until 31 March 2019 in the first instance.

TEMPORARY CLERICAL ASSISTANT
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

A temporary vacancy exists for a suitably experienced candidate to provide comprehensive clerical support within the Human Resources Department based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking clerical work including scanning and filing, together with a range of other general clerical and administrative tasks, together with providing cover for Reception duties. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

The post is 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday) and is for an initial period of 12 months.
