​Wholetime Firefighter Vacancies

The Service works in collaboration with the North Wales Fire & Rescue Service and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service in terms of an All - Wales Recruitment Campaign​ when ​Wholetime Firefighter vacancies arise.
 

These recruitment campaigns usually take place every 2-3 years and advertising and publicity campaigns take place in the lead up to the recruitment of Firefighters.

ICT TECHNICIAN, ICT DEPARTMENT
SERVICE​ HEAD QUARTERS, CARMARTHEN
GRADE 4​

 
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a post of an ICT Technician to be based withi​n the ICT Department at Service HQ, Carmarthen.
 

This post is 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

The successful applicant will be a member of a small team that is responsible for providing PC hardware, radio equipment and software support throughout the Mid & West Wales fire service area.  The work typically involves installing and maintaining PC's, printers and other peripherals as well as the configuration of all associated software.

Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSE's grade C or equivalent (including English and Mathematics) are required in addition to a demonstrable aptitude or previous experience in this type of work.

PART TIME CLERICAL ASSISTANT

SWANSEA COUNTY COMMAND
GRADE 2

Applications are invited from suitably experienced personnel for the post of Clerical Assistant within Swansea County Command Headquarters based at Morriston. The post is 18.5 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking clerical work including word processing, together with a range of other general clerical and administrative tasks.
