Green Dragon is an environmental standard that is awarded to
organisations that are taking action to understand, monitor and control their
impact on the environment. This is done through a variety of means, including
guidance and procedural documents, site audits and sustainable projects. The Audit
ensures the Service achieved the Standard criteria of:
compliance with environmental legislation
The Service underwent a 3-day external Verification Audit
between, 25th - 27th February 2019, at its Headquarters
in Carmarthen, Training Centre in Earlswood, Neath Port Talbot, and Fire
Stations at Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven. The Audit confirmed MAWWFRS’s ability to evidence
conformance to a high number of criteria standards.
Jess Millard, Sustainability & Environment Manager for
MAWWFRS said “We are really pleased to retain this standard of accreditation as
it shows our continual efforts to achieve a high functioning environmental Management
