Mid and West Wales take Bronze at iESE Public Service Transformation Awards

On Tuesday night, 6th March 2018, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were awarded bronze in the Fire & Rescue Service of the Year Award.

The 2018 Public Sector Transformation Awards was hosted at Church House in London and funded through sponsorship, therefore ensuring that no public money was spent on the event. Each nominee was provided with a number of free places in recognition of their efforts in improving their local areas.

MAWWFRS has been recognised for demonstrating true innovation and delivering improvements to the lives of residents and local businesses with its Service area.

Chief Fire Officer Chris Davies QFSM said, “I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of all our staff and volunteers. This award recognises the dedication and hard work of my colleagues to ensure that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service provides the highest standards in prevention, protection and response, at a cost of only £4 a month to the tax payer.

As a Fire and Rescue Service, we do not rest on our laurels and we will continue to invest in innovative and world class equipment to best protect our communities whilst providing an outstanding value for money.”
