Elizabeth Aitken
Assistant Chief Officer
Liz Aitken has 25 years experience as a qualified accountant and 30 years experience in Public Sector Finance. Liz has worked in a variety of posts covering many services during this time including the Police Authority, Magistrates Courts Service, Probation Service, Trading Standards Service, Coroners Service, Pension Fund Investments and Technical finance work and has many years experience of Local Government central funding, dealing with the Welsh Assembly Government and previously the Welsh Office. Liz took up her appointment with the Fire Authority in January 2006 as Director of Finance and Procurement but has now an extended remit as Director of Resources and Procurement having taken on board Premises, ICT and Comms. She is also the Treasurer to the Fire Authority.
