Using the Site

You can navigate the main sections of the site by using the links on the left hand side of the page. This menu is consistent throughout the site.

The home page has a slightly different look to the rest of the pages in the site, to enable you to quickly access areas of the site. It changes regularly and has the latest news and events as well as what's new in the rest of the site.

The top navigation bar contains links to help you get the most out of your visit to our site:

  • Home will always take you to the portal-style home page
  • Click on Yn Gymraeg to take you to the Welsh version of the page you are currently on
  • This Access Guide is available from all pages
  • Contact Us contains a form to submit enquiries and feedback to us. This page also has our address, telephone number, fax number and email address
  • To aid navigation we provide a site map. This contains all the main sections and sub-sections of the site on one page

Accessibility

We comply with the Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints given in the the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

To make our pages as accessible as possible we have included the following in the design of our site:

  • Access Keys - keyboard shortcuts to aid navigation
  • A flexible approach to ensure that you can change the text size in your browser
  • Images have an alternative text description to aid users of text and speech browsers
  • Help with PDFs - wherever there is a PDF document we include a link to our "What Is A PDF?" page, which contains information about PDFs and accessibility
  • We provide help with accessibility features in some browsers
  • A hidden Skip Navigation link is provided on every page to allow users of speech browsers to bypass the navigation bars and go directly to the main content of the page
