Results from the World Firefighter Games

Many congratulations to the following who won medals at the recent World Firefighter Games. Hosted by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, this was the 10th anniversary of the World Firefighter Games. Well done to all those who took part.

Sian Davies (Swansea Central)

  • 5 Gold: 100meters, 200m, 400m, Relay and Freestyle Karate
  • 2 Silver: Tae kwon do and Javelin
  • 1 Bronze: Long Jump


Sarah Hallet (Swansea West)

  • 5 Gold: 10,000 meters, 5,000m, Bodybuilding, Stair Run, and Relay.
  • 1 Silver: 1,500m.


Gareth Rice (Morriston)

  • Gold: Rugby Sevens


Gary Price (Fishguard)

  • Silver Medal: Golf


Tim Rudge and Rob Pugh (Carmarthen)

  • Tim Rudge and Rob Pugh - Gold Second Day Pairs Competition (Sea Fishing)
  • Tim Rudge and Rob Pugh – Bronze Overall Pairs
  • Tim Rudge - Silver Individual Second Day
  • Tim Rudge - Silver – Overall Competition 2 days
  • Mark Butler – Bronze for first day
