Eighteen young fire–fighters based at Morriston have been presented with achievement awards at a special pass out ceremony at Morriston Fire Station.

A group of young people from the Community Farm School, Cadle, Fforestfach donned on fire kits today (13/02/08) for the very first time, in a bid to learn what life is like as firefighters. Nine youngsters took part in the day, which is the first time the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue has run a programme of this kind for the 9 – 11 years age group.

Fire Crews, Police and Ambulance were called to a road traffic collision outside the Liberty Stadium in Swansea at 1100hrs on Saturday 2 February. The two vehicle incident resulted in the passenger of a ford fiesta being cut free from the vehicle.
