Implementation of Integrated Personal Development

Introduction

The professional development of Fire Service personnel is one of the fundamental changes proposed by government in its 2003 White Paper and it will have wide ranging implications for firefighters. Not least of those will be changes to the terms and conditions of employment.

It is therefore important that the ethos of this new training system is explained to staff an a concise and understandable manner. This site is one of the many ways in which the details of the IPDS are to be communicated to the relevant personnel.
