Our vision is to be a world class organisation and our Strategic Plan for 2010-2015, sets out our determination to achieve excellence and build safer communities. We know that the best way to achieve this is to work with others to reduce risk. We also understand our role in reducing harm to the environment and providing a resilient, effective and affordable service.
Our Draft Annual Action Plan for 2012-2013 identifies a number of specific areas where we believe we can make improvements.

Welsh Language Scheme Consultation
Consultation on Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service’s Revised Language Scheme 2010-2013
The Welsh Language Scheme (2010 update) of the Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Authority is prepared under the terms of the 1993 Welsh Language Act, and in accordance with guidelines issued by the Welsh Language Board under Section 9 of the Act.
Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service has adopted the principle that, in the conduct of public business in Wales, it will treat the English and Welsh languages on a basis of equality. This scheme illustrates how the Fire & Rescue Service will reflect the bilingual nature of Wales through its day to day activities.
