REDUCING RISK
Strategic Plan 2010-2015 (PDF, 1.58mb)
We want to be a world class organisation with a clear focus on reducing risk within our communities and our Service. Our Strategic Plan for 2010-2015 sets out our priorities, objectives and vision for the next five years.
Annual Action Plan 2010-2011 (PDF, 1.61mb)
The Annual Action Plan 2010-2011 was approved by the Fire Authority at their meeting on 26th October 2009. The Authority, in its Draft Annual Action Plan 2010-2011 had asked for comments on how to make improvements in the following areas :-
- Improving the way we reach vulnerable members of the society
- Sharing our facilities with our communities
- Engaging with communities
- Improving road safety
- Delivering home fire safety checks
- Reducing deliberate grassland fires
Responses to consultation showed that:-
- There was support for our existing work, many of the recommendations for improvements are already being carried out, which confirms that the Authority’s strategies broadly reflect what our public expects of us.
- Our stakeholders approved of our collaborative working with partners and suggestions were made for developing opportunities with new partners.
- Our stakeholders wanted us to promote our wide range of services and to increase our profile in the community.
Full details on the consultation and its outcomes are provided in the Consultation Report on the Draft Annual Action Plan 2010-2011 (PDF, 336kb)
The results of these improvements will be reported each year in our Annual Action Plans. We will share this knowledge with our partners as we continue to work with others to build safer communities.
Improvement and Performance Information is also included with the Annual Action plan to provide information on all performance and planned activities in one convenient location.
