    National Sprinkler Week 2019
    ​National Sprinkler Week

    Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are supporting the National Fire Chiefs Council’s (NFCC) National Sprinkler Week campaign this year. 

    The campaign will run from Sunday 19th May to Friday 24th May. NFCC and the National Fire Sprinkler Network (NFSN) carried out research to investigate the effectiveness and reliability of sprinkler systems. They found that sprinkler systems operate on 94% of occasions demonstrating very high reliability.

    Fire Investigators recognised at Operation Heath Commendation Ceremony
    Fire Investigators from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) have been recognised for their role within the investigation into the tragic fatal fire at Llangammarch Wells, Powys, on the 30th October 2017. The fire claimed the lives of five children and their father.
