    Mine Rescue Talybont Aberystwyth
Mid and West Wales Firefighters and emergency responders from across the area provided a multi-agency response to rescue a man who had become incapacitated in a disused mine in the Talybont area of Ceredigion on Saturday 06 December. The Fire Service's specialist Line Rescue and Urban Search and Rescue Teams, along with the Ambulance Service's Hazardous Area Response Team rescued the man from the mine shaft. He was then helped to safety by the local Mountain Rescue Team and received precautionary checks from paramedics. Other agencies that were integral to the safe resolution of this incident were our colleagues from South Wales Fire Service, Dyfed Powys Police and the mines rescue and cave rescue teams.
