Attached is the Best Value Performance Indicator (BVPI) (PDF, 88kb) Exception Report. This report forms part of the Service Performance Management reporting methodology
BVPI Corporate Health & Service Delivery Indicator Exception Report
Members will note that the format and visual appearance of the BVPI Exception Report has changed. This is to take into account the additional new BVPI's that the Service is now reporting on for the period 05/06 and to be able to note performance at a glance.
A Traffic Light methodology using Red, Amber and Green colours has now been introduced. This will allow members to see the actual performance of the various Corporate Heath and Service Delivery Best Value Performance Indicators, both from the local and national perspective more easily. If appropriate, members can then further scrutinise actual performance against the current year targets and how the Service is performing against the members of our Family Group and the Top Quartile performance of other F&RS .
As regards this particular quarter's performance which is being reported on, whilst many of the indicators currently show "red" or "Amber" members should note that this report only represents first quarter performance projected over the year compared to the annual Service target. Many of the indicators show year on year improvement (some significant) and a narrative is included within the exception report column.
Members will note that the Service is now collecting data and reporting on many new indicators mirroring those set for F&RS in England by the ODPM. Whilst strictly speaking this is a voluntary activity this will continue until any further requirements are developed by WAG. Targets may need to be refined for new indicators later in the year.
