SUMMARY:
Members will recall that further to the “cancellation” of
two meetings between the Fire Authority and Assembly Members as part of
the Integrated Risk Management Planning consultation process, a letter
was sent to the First Minster, Rt Hon Rhodri Morgan AM requesting a meeting
to clarify policy ambiguities and to explore any strategic considerations
that should be taken into account by the Fire Authority.
A response has
now been received from the First Minister and is attached at Appendix
2 for Members’ consideration.
