Win a Ladies Driving Challenge for that Special Lady!

Sunday 18th April 2010,
Pembrey Circuit, Llanelli

On Sunday 18th April, The Fire Fighters Charity will visit Pembrey Circuit Llanelli to give women the chance to drive a variety of large and unusual vehicles in the ´Ladies Driving Challenge´. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are hosting the event and participants will be able to try their hand at manoeuvring a range of dierent vehicles including fire engines, trucks and tractors, all kindly donated by local organisations.

Every year thousands of Fire Fighters are injured whilst protecting the public. Every 30 seconds in the UK, reghters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining injuries whilst carrying out their duties.

It costs over £9million to keep the charity running and with no Government funding, they rely on donations from the public and fire community. The Charity provides treatment and support services to injured reghters which oers well needed therapy and recuperation services at three centres throughout the UK.

To take control of the wheel for a day (without the interruption of the usual back seat driver in your life!), all we ask is that you pay a £10 registration fee and raise a minimum amount of sponsorship.

An exhilarating event is guaranteed for all on this fun lled day raising money for the Fieghters Charity.

If you would like to take part in this fantastic event and try your hand at driving some unusual vehicles, contact Pauline Tyldesley at ptyldesley@reghterscharity.org.uk,
