Recent Incidents:
17/03/2010 : 11:48:00 - Thirty eight firefighters, six fire appliances, a water bowser with appliance and three landrovers attended a controlled burning incident involving grassland and bracken which had gone out of control at a farm in Pontdolgoch, Caersws, Powys.. No further information available at present.      17/03/2010 : 03:09:00 - A fire appliance, the swift water rescue team with appliance and a dog handler team with their vehicle attended the Johnstown area of Carmarthen following a request from the Police in the search for a missing female person. The nearby river and bankside were searched and the person was eventually found safe and well on dry land.      16/03/2010 : 21:55:00 - Two fire appliances attended a fire at a shop in Maengwyn Street, Machynlleth, Powys. A female person was rescued by firefighters using a 13.5m ladder and two breathing apparatus.      16/03/2010 : 12:16:00 - Three fire appliances from Mid and West Wales and two appliances from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire involving approximately 100 hectares of grass and bracken at Bryngwyn Hill, Painscastle, Powys. Firefighters used beaters and a fogging system to tackle the fires.      15/03/2010 : 21:15:00 - Three fire appliances attended a fire which was confined to the upstairs bedroom of a farm at Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire. Firefighters used three breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a ventilating fan and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.      15/03/2010 : 19:07:00 - Four fire appliances, a water bowser with appliance and three vehicles with off road capabilities attended a fire involving 100 hectares of gorse and grass which were well alight at Crossways, Llanbister, Powys. Four nearby properties were affected and firefighters used four hose reel jets and beaters to tackle the fires.
