Joining the Service

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service offers a competitive range of salaries and has recently introduced new pay structures to ensure we attract and retain quality people at all levels for the future.
Holidays
In addition to 8 bank holidays we offer entitlements of up to 33 days. Leave for part time employees is calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Hours of Work
We operate a variety of working patterns to meet our customers and our employees' needs. We operate a flexible working hours scheme and other initiatives are being developed to enable all our employees to stike an appropriate work life balance, through facilities such as flexible working, career breaks, job share arrangements etc.

As part of our commitment to fitness for work we provide a number of mechanisms to support our employees in this area including an Occupational Health Service.
