Watch Manager B: Business Fire Safety
The Service is currently seeking external transfers for the role of Watch Manager B – Business Fire Safety Inspector within the Business Fire Safety Department.
The main purpose of this role is to enforce fire safety legislation and associated regulations in accordance with Service policies and procedures, and secondly to provide leadership and support at operational incidents.
Interested individuals should hold the SFJ Level 4 Certificate or Diploma in Fire Safety or other equivalent qualification.

Firefighters and Community Fire Safety staff from the Service will now visit domestic properties to provide home safety advice and will supply and install a smoke alarm free of charge, where appropriate.
These checks are the cornerstone of the proactive role the Service is adopting in its drive to reduce the deaths and injuries that are caused by accidental fires.
The provision of smoke alarms and other home safety items by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is supported by funding from Welsh Government.
