Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service International Search and Rescue Team (ISAR) has recently been deployed to assist with preparing equipment to be used in rescue efforts in Ukraine.

The Ammanford crew held a decontamination training exercise at LSN Diffusion in Ammanford in May.

We at Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are supporting Drowning Prevention week by urging people to stay safe when near open water as we enter the summer months. Our aim is to raise awareness of water safety ahead of a summer outdoors.

On June 3rd, Firefighters from across the UK, Germany and Kuwait gathered in Swansea City Centre to take part in the Welsh Firefighter Challenge, which is part of the regional race of the British Firefighter challenge.

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) are urging people to reduce their risk of house fires. The ask comes ahead of NFCC’s Home Fire Safety Week which will run from the 12th -18th June.

On Friday 2nd June 2023, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service held their annual Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Ceremony for their Northern Division. The evening event took place at The Royal Oak in Welshpool.
