On Saturday, 25th March, the crew from Newtown Fire Station held a car wash to raise funds for The Fire Fighter Charity.

In support of International Women’s Day 2023 the Service held an event at the National Botanic Garden, to celebrate the journeys and achievements of inspiring women, both within our fire family and locally. The event ran throughout the entire day, with four female speakers, group workshops and peer networking.

Last week on International Women’s Day, Shona Powell-Hughes-Wakley, Nicola Davies, Karen Mayze and Nina Bishop, all members of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service headed to Nottingham to take part in the ladies first GB Women’s Fire Service Rugby match against the British Police.

On Tuesday 7th March crew members from Kidwelly Fire Station presented three local businesses with a plaque and letter of thanks from Roger Thomas, Chief Fire Officer of Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service (MAWWFRS), to thank them for their ongoing support in allowing employees to be released for operational incidents, as and when required.
