Newtown Fire Station recently visited 93-year-old retired firefighter, Elwyn Jones, at his care home.

The Abercrave, Brecon, Llandrindod Wells and Ammanford crews were called to an incident at Coelbren, Abercrave, on Friday, June 16th.

The Lampeter, Tregaron, Aberaeron, Llandysul, Tumble, Llandovery, Carmarthen, Llanelli and Llandeilo crews were called to an incident at Lampeter Industrial Estate on Sunday, June 18th.

We at Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are supporting Drowning Prevention week by urging people to stay safe when near open water as we enter the summer months. Our aim is to raise awareness of water safety ahead of a summer outdoors.
