Farm Safety Competition Winner gets the VIP treatment in Llanelli Fire Station

Charlotte Owen, from Llanelli entered our Farm Safety Competition where we asked for budding young artists to design an image on what Farm Safety meant to them.

Charlotte was our lucky winner with her bright and colourful drawing with some fantastic detail with all the animals in their pens and vegetables growing in the field.

Charlotte was invited down to her local Fire Station with a couple of friends to have a VIP experience with the crews on duty.  They had a fantastic time being shown around the Fire Station and even got a chance to have a little ride on the yard in one of our appliances.  We even managed to find some fire kit for them to wear for some photo opportunities.

We even had a special guest appearance from Sbarc who presented Charlotte with her prize and framed copy of her picture.

Farm Liaison Officer, Jeremy Turner said

“Its wonderful to see children take an interest in safety at such a young age and what a great opportunity for them to be involved in the work that we do as a Fire Service.”

“We would like to thank Charlotte, her friends and her family for joining us in Llanelli Fire Station and for taking part in our competition”
