MAWWFRS Authority Community Risk Management Plan 2040

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is consulting on its Improvement and Well-being Objectives as part of its draft Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2040.

Our Vision is to deliver the best possible Fire and Rescue Service for the communities of mid and west Wales, to assist us in delivering our vision, we have taken a look at the risks, threats and challenges surrounding our communities and have produced a long-term Plan, taking us through to 2040, which we are confident will help us to understand, manage and reduce these risks, keeping the communities of mid and west Wales as safe as possible.

Recognising the ever-changing needs of our communities, our long-term plan will remain flexible, allowing us to continue to adapt to societal, environmental, and economic changes, futureproofing the services we provide, by having the right people in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills and equipment to deliver the best possible service to the communities we serve.

Chief Fire Officer, Roger Thomas said:
“We are delighted to introduce our Community Risk Management Plan 2040. Our CRMP sets out how we intend to achieve our vision, to deliver the best possible Fire and Rescue Service for the communities of mid and west Wales.

We are confident that the Objectives we have identified in our CRMP will enable us to continue to evolve and deliver an effective, efficient, and world-class service, keeping you and your families safe. We remain committed to adapting to any challenges faced positively and believe that collaborative working is key to the future of our emergency services to successfully deliver shared outcomes, enabling us to improve the way we work, share resources, and ultimately save more lives. We also remain committed to finding innovative solutions to improve the way we work, enhance firefighter safety, reduce our impact on the environment and ultimately contribute to the well-being of our communities.

We recognise that listening to your views is crucial if the Service is to continue to deliver an effective, efficient, and improved service to keep you and your families safe.
