On Wednesday, 21st May, Crickhowell Fire Station hosted a Family and Crew Appreciation event which welcomed family and friends to celebrate with the crew during their drill night.
The crew performed a parade followed by a family appreciation presentation where the crew and their families were commended for their dedication, understanding and commitment to the Service. Each family received a complimentary bag of butchers produce supplied locally by Cashells Butchers, along with a certificate.
Also, during the evening Crew Manager Jamie Jones was also presented with a certificate and commended for 30 years in Service.
CM Jones works alongside his son CM Harri Jones, providing cover in Crickhowell Fire Station while also running their family-run garage. When calls come in, they close their garage until they return, demonstrating the measures they regularly take to ensure that Crickhowell crew can respond to emergency calls.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank CM Jamie Jones for his continued commitment and dedication for protecting his community.
Station Manager Simon Prince said:
“It was great to meet all the families and perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate. The crew and their families are already discussing what they would like to do for their next family appreciation event. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Cashells Butchers for their generous donation.”
