The Selection Process



The selection process ensures that we recruit the right people with the right skills and attitudes. It also assesses your fitness, physical and mental abilities, personal qualities, and resilience.



The process includes:

  • Fitness tests
  • Physical role-related tests
  • Interview
  • Medical

If you pass the final stage of the selection process, you will be offered a place on our wholetime firefighter training programme.

You don't need any previous firefighting experience just a passion to help your community.
