At 8.04pm on Sunday, January 5th, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) crews from Llanwrtyd Wells, Llandovery and Builth Wells Fire Stations responded to flooding in the Belle Vue Terrace area of Llanwrtyd Wells.

Crews responded to the area following water entering several properties, including the basement of a commercial property operating as a hotel.  The flooding was caused by a collapsed culvert and crews utilised several pumps and hoses to remove and divert the water from the properties.  Local Authority personnel were also in attendance, who supplied sand bags to assist with diverting the water from the properties.

Crews successfully removed water from all properties and the incident was handed over to the Local Authority.  Crews left the scene at 12.26am on Monday, January 6th.
