At 4.30pm on Saturday, November 23rd, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Carmarthen, Aberystwyth, Newcastle Emlyn, Llandysul and Cardigan Fire Stations were called to an incident in Henllan.
Crews, involving wading teams, responded to two casualties and one dog that had become stranded in a flooded field. After several unsuccessful attempts to self-rescue, a 999 call was made when it was getting dark. Crews established a safe system and utilised a safety sled, throw lines and lighting to bring the casualties to safety.
Crews left the scene at 7.17pm.
