At 8.20pm on Tuesday, September 23rd, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Carmarthen and Llanelli Fire Stations were called to an incident in Llwynhendy.
Crews responded to one private motor vehicle that had left the roadway and entered woodland, coming to rest near a water channel. The vehicle’s two casualties suffered minor injuries.
Crews were involved in cutting away sections of the woodland to create an access way for a rescue sled to extricate the casualties. The casualties were then put in the care of Ambulance Service personnel. One Wading Team and one Specialist Rescue Team were deployed at the scene.
This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, the Ambulance Service and the Hazardous Area Response Team also in attendance.
Fire and Rescue Service crews left the scene at 10.23pm.
