Long Service and Good Conduct Awards 2025

On the evening of Wednesday, 12 November 2025, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) held its Long Service and Good Conduct Awards Ceremony at Carmarthen Headquarters, recognising Service personnel who have dedicated 30 and 40 years to the organisation.

On the evening of Wednesday, 12 November 2025, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) held its Long Service and Good Conduct Awards Ceremony at Carmarthen Headquarters, recognising Service personnel who have dedicated 30 and 40 years to the organisation.

The evening’s ceremony celebrated personnel from both the Western and Southern Divisions, with awards presented by Deputy Chief Fire Officer Iwan Cray.

40-Year Awards

The ceremony began with Group Manager Nick Rees presenting awards to personnel receiving their 40-year awards.

First to receive her award was Watch Manager Yvette Williams from Joint Fire Control, followed by Watch Manager Keith Jenkins from Haverfordwest Fire Station, Firefighter Peter Lewis from Tenby Fire Station, and finally Euros Edwards from Crymych Fire Station.







30-Year Awards

The second half of the ceremony was presented by Group Manager David Morgans, who presented the 30-year awards.

The first to be presented with their award was David Jenkins from the Community Safety Team, followed by Christopher Davies, former Chief Fire Officer, Watch Manager David Williams from Operational Risk Management; Watch Manager Alan Tomas, Crew Manager Delyth Davies, and Firefighter Rhain Jenkins, all from Joint Fire Control; Watch Manager Jason Oliver from Llanelli Fire Station; Crew Manager Stephen Rickard from Haverfordwest Fire Station; Crew Manager Robin Mayne from Milford Haven Fire Station; Watch Manager Jeremy Lees from Tenby Fire Station; Watch Manager Aelwyn Evans from Joint Fire Control; Firefighter Colin Jenkins from Llandeilo Fire Station; and finally Bernard Armstrong from Milford Haven Fire Station.
















The evening was a special opportunity to celebrate the long service, loyalty, and commitment of MAWWFRS personnel. It recognised the remarkable efforts, professionalism, and dedication shown throughout their years of service to their communities.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Iwan Cray commented:

"The evening is about celebration and a chance to acknowledge the incredible dedication from Service colleagues for all their hard work and years of commitment to reach their milestone of 30 and 40-years’ in Service. It was a privilege to welcome colleagues and their families to the awards this year. I would like to thank all that contributed to making the ceremony the success that it was."
