Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service's Procurement team were recently shortlisted for Best Procurement Delivery by the Go Wales Procurement Excellence Awards judging panel.
The prestigious Awards Ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff on the evening of 5th November where it was announced that the Procurement team had won the High Commendation Award for Best Procurement Delivery for the second year running.
Following the event Helen Rees FCIPS, Head of Procurement and Contracting said:
"We may be a small team of procurement professionals, however our combined passion for giving something back to the communities which we serve is what we base all our procurement delivery on, whether it is developing local SMEs or ensuring that our activities always support sustainability and wellbeing outcomes. To win the High Commendation award for Best Procurement Delivery at the Go Wales Procurement Excellence Awards when shortlisted amongst much larger organisations means the world to me and the team. It proves that however small a team you are, you can still benefit the communities where you live and work in as long as you have that passion for making a difference."
