Incident: Firefighters Rescue Calf from River in Whitland

On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Carmarthen and Whitland Fire Stations were called to an incident at Henllan Amgoed in Whitland.

At 9.47am on Wednesday, July 2nd, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Carmarthen and Whitland Fire Stations were called to an incident at Henllan Amgoed in Whitland.

Crews responded to one suckler calf that was stuck in a river and was slowly being carried away by the water.  The Swift Water Rescue Team was mobilised and Firefighters demonstrated quick action and teamwork and used water rescue equipment and lines to guide the calf to safety and reunite it with its herd.

The crews left the scene at 10.51am.
