On Wednesday, March 12th, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) crews joined crews from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service for a training exercise in Oswestry.

Attended by MAWWFRS crews from Llanfyllin and Montgomery Fire Stations, the training exercise simulated a fire located within a factory.  Crews coordinated hose operations, search and rescue techniques and ventilation tactics, while incident commanders practiced strategic decision-making.

While replicating a real-life emergency incident, the session provided the opportunity for crew members to reinforce their teamwork, communication and adaptability skills, ensuring that they remain prepared for incidents at industrial sites.
