Members of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) Community Safety Team will be at the Quadrant Shopping Centre Pop-Up Shop in Swansea.

South Wales Police, in partnership with Swansea Council, have opened their pop-up shop in Swansea to give members of the public the chance to speak to officers about crime prevention advice over the festive period.

This is part of the ‘Cost of Christmas’ campaign which explores the possible consequences which crime could cost you.

Our Southern Division Community Safety Team will be at the pop-up shop from 10am-4pm every weekday until the 19th of December providing seasonal safety messages, home safety activities and electric blanket testing.

“I was recently introduced to Paul Evans, the Community Safety Coordinator for Swansea Council. He offered use of an empty unit within the Quadrant for us to engage with the public on the run up to Christmas alongside South Wales Police and other organisations. This is a fantastic opportunity for MAWWFRS to offer safe and well visits, we’ll also be issuing winter warmer packs to those vulnerable within our community.”

Dave Gates - Community Fire Safety Manager of Southern Division

Bring your electric blankets along with you to get them tested by the team. While you’re there you can also sign up for a free safe and well visit.

Come say hi!
