At 6.29pm on Tuesday, December 3rd, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) crews from Morriston, Port Talbot, Swansea Central, Swansea West, Pontardawe and Neath Fire Stations were called to an incident in Cwmrhydyceirw in Swansea.
Crews responded to a fire within a two-storey, semi-detached property measuring approximately 25 metres by 15 metres. The fire originated in the property’s first-floor bedroom and spread to the roof space, the fire also spread to the adjoining property. Crews utilised six breathing apparatus sets, two hose reel jets, two 45mm jets and lighting to extinguish the fire. Crews also used a turntable appliance as a water tower and to remove roof tiles, significant damage was caused to both properties. All persons were accounted for.
Crews left the scene at 12.37am on Wednesday, December 4th.
