On Friday, September 18th, more than 60 members of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service staff came together to take part in a Wellbeing Walk along a scenic section of the Tywi Valley Path.

Organised to mark National Fitness Day and raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity, the event encouraged colleagues from across the Service to prioritise their physical wellbeing while supporting an important cause. Participants gathered at Bishop's Park in Abergwili before setting off on routes of either 5km, 10km or 15km, with the flexibility to walk, jog or run at a pace that suited them.

Despite the changeable weather, staff embraced the opportunity to get active, enjoy the outdoors and connect with colleagues from different departments. The event highlighted the Service's ongoing commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Funds raised through the event will help support the invaluable work of the Fire Fighters Charity, which provides specialist health and wellbeing services to members of the UK fire services community and their families.
