Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority is required by the Environment and Safety Information Act 1988 to maintain a public register of notices. The Act requires authorities, to which this Act applies, to establish a public register of relevant notices served concerning health, safety, environmental protection and related issues. MAWWFRA provide details of issued notices to a national register managed by the National Fire Chief's Council (NFCC).
This national register provides details of enforcement, prohibition and alterations notices issued on businesses by the Fire and Rescue Authorities in England and Wales.
Access to the NFCC register can be found here by visiting the NFCCPublic Register website.

Firefighters and Community Fire Safety staff from the Service will now visit domestic properties to provide home safety advice and will supply and install a smoke alarm free of charge, where appropriate.
These checks are the cornerstone of the proactive role the Service is adopting in its drive to reduce the deaths and injuries that are caused by accidental fires.
The provision of smoke alarms and other home safety items by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is supported by funding from Welsh Government.
